Okay so people showed up today for Sara in court, including the media.
Fortunately she did not go to jail but she was placed on probation.
She was placed on probation because Pop Pop claims the release she signed for him to have access to her children’s private confidential information via an illegal court order did not work.
Nobody actually believes him and he was not required to prove it, of course, he never is.
Maybe he’s telling the truth. But maybe the doctor actually knows the laws and said “no, I’m not doing this.”
Either way, she did her part. It’s not her fault it didn’t work… if in fact it did not work.
But Mango will miss no opportunity to flex his power.
In Mango’s court, that doesn’t matter. What is due process? What is an evidentiary requirement?
You can partially thank Harshberger, though for her not going to jail.
He’s the one who said oral arguments are in 12 days and she needs to be able to participate, not because he’s trying to do the right thing, but because he knows he’s going to lose.
If he allows Mango to abuse his power to benefit him, he could end up in trouble, too. They’re not just looking at Mango in this appeal. They’re looking at him too.
Speaking of appeals. Guess who is crying that he can’t afford anymore appeals? That’s right, Pop Pop.
Boohoo… so sad …hate it for you.
*Sips tea
Unfortunately for you, Pops, you’re going to have to pay for another one now.
Yeah that’s right. This one is also getting appealed.
Judge Menges did however Sara to pay money related to appeals, that are all still active and ongoing, with no final rulings issued. This is not just unethical or questionable. It is a direct violation of the law. Under Pennsylvania law, once an appeal is filed, the trial court is stripped of jurisdiction over the matters being appealed.
Pa. R.A.P. 1701(a) clearly states, “Except as otherwise prescribed by these rules, after an appeal is taken, the trial court may no longer proceed further in the matter.”
Not only should he have never issued the order, he should have never held the hearing in the first place. Issuing monetary awards tied to unresolved and pending appeals is not just improper. It is void from the outset. So, sorry Pops, you won’t see that money. But you’re about to spend more.
Maybe if you don’t want to keep blowing money on appeals, you should quit while you’re behind, because let’s be real, you were never ahead. You just convinced yourself you were.
Maybe stop filing garbage you know is hurting these kids you claim to care about.
No grandparent with an ounce of sense would be doing what you’re doing.
This isn’t love, it’s obsession. It’s control. It’s selfishness dressed up in court filings.
And forcing yourself into a child’s life, especially one who isn’t even your grandchild, doesn’t make you a fighter.
It makes you a fool.
The light at the end of the tunnel is showing for Sara.
But that same tunnel has a brick wall for you, Pop Pop. And when you hit it, it’s going to hit hard.
What do you think happens when the court stops forcing those kids to tolerate you?
Do you really believe they’ll feel anything but resentment?
Do you think they’ll ever choose to have a relationship with the man who dragged them through hell to satisfy his own ego?
You didn’t fight for love, you fought for control. And now you’ve destroyed any chance of ever being more than a bitter memory to them.
